We are releasing a 3.0.2 version of Rainmeter, to address some issues found when version 3.0 was released and used by a far greater number of people than do so in a "beta" cycle. You can safely install the new 3.0.2 release version right over your existing Rainmeter 3.0 or 2.5 installation, and nothing you have done will be lost or changed. There is never any need to uninstall any earlier version of Rainmeter to use the newest version.
